spasm [embodied resistance] is a two-day performance arts festival featuring POC/QPOC artists along the East Coast. Our intention is to gather disruptive and discordant performances that are singular in vision, emotionally confrontational, and highlights the body as a source of agency and political change.

Anakbayan Philadelphia’s “No Saviors, We Free Ourselves” exhibition at Vox Populi addresses the ongoing struggle for true independence in the Philippines and across the Filipino diaspora as we confront the presence of US military on Philippine land and sea. This cultural night allows kababayans (compatriots) and comrades to unite in the grief and joy of our struggle in combating US imperialism in our homelands.

scapeG.O.A.T. Screening & Fundraiser
scapeG.O.A.T., directed by Erika Lobati, premieres May 17th at Vox Populi. In partnership with the African Family Health Organization (AFAHO), this event will be a fundraiser and goods drive or the AFAHO's African Youth Empowerment Program and the film's distribution costs!

Act 1 of the BAYAN USA Peace Mission documentary focuses on U.S. imperialist war and its life and death impacts on Filipino lives and land.
