Our Boat That Is Made Of Flowers

Amy Adams
Friday, December 5th - December 28th, 2008

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Systematically gathering and organizing each word contained in thousands of emails between the artist and her husband, Adams creates two poetic and revealing portraits using their private communication.

Adams also pieces together bits of sea and waves taken from the paintings by the father and son Dutch maritime painters, Willem Van de Veldes. The result is a revised image that differs greatly from the original paintings' purpose of asserting power and displaying victory.

This is Adams' fifth exhibition at Vox Populi.
