Thin Walls by Holden Linton

Recorded between 2021-2025 in North Philadelphia, Thin Walls is a project utilizing the sounds of abandoned apartments, trash, broken game consoles, Cheap Toy instruments, broken instruments, and many other various found objects, to create a conceptual work based around memory, isolation, and space. All organized into an intensely physical and fractured musical experience, One would hear the happenings of doors being ran through, walls being sledgehammered, bludgeoning rhythms made with trash, toys being thrown around, game consoles glitching, microphones breaking, rotten wood peeling, glass scraping across floors under the sounds of scratching guitars played through bluetooth speakers, Old TVs, user interfaces, and bedroom meanderings to name a few. The project creates a 3-Dimensional experience between a digital space, the comfort of one's own home, and the ruins of a home that belongs to no one, eroding to time.

Holden Linton is a Multi-media artist based in Philadelphia, PA whose works reimagines physical environments into direct audio-visual experiences. He has released music under his project Pallet Fountains, which has utilized found sounds and urban environments to create pseudo-tropical landscapes that are aggressive and fantastical in their nature. Whether it is through confrontational performance art, or isolated media experiences, Linton’s music invites the ears and eyes to engage with space in a way that is deeply anthropological and corporeal.
