scapeG.O.A.T. Screening & Fundraiser

Vox Populi, Erika Lobati and Lola Ackerman present scapeG.O.A.T., a high school comedy starring Alexis Goode, Rain Diaz, and Nina Koripella. scapeG.O.A.T. is the story of trivia master and future valedictorian Caimile Badu, a Ghanian-American student who unfairly takes the blame for a school-wide cyber scandal. As her dreams of Ivy League success hang in the balance, her friends Santiago and Ananya realize they may be the only ones who can help her - or at least, the only ones willing to.

Erika Lobati (she/her) is an MFA student and Teaching Assistant at Temple University’s Film and Media Arts program in Philadelphia. She got her BA in Film and Media Studies and Psychology at The University of Kansas in Lawrence. With a background in stand-up and a love for comedians, Erika holds a soft spot for narrative comedy. She uses laughter as a tool to bring complex human relationships and social issues to light in the film medium. Erika's unique voice as a Cameroonian-American creative and child of immigrants fuels her representation of Black women on the page and the screen.
