Return home within and Dwell in the light: Inward Communion, Presence as prayer
an Introduction to silent waiting worship in the manner of Friends (Quakers) in the Agony in the Garden chapel
Sunday, January 25, 2026 | 4-7PM | Free to Attend
An open period of silent worship in which we wait in God's presence among us as by a warm fire - gathering “with hearts knit together in love” (Colossians 2:2). An opportunity to set aside the noise of our busy lives and our preconceived thoughts to return home within and dwell in the light. In worship we return to a reality that is always within and around us- an invisible and living stream into which we can step at any time.
This is a free and open invitation for people at any level of experience with meditation and prayer who would like to explore this powerfully intimate practice. In keeping with the exhibition's themes of grief and transformation there will be a period to honor lost loved ones, honor any sorrows being carried into our time together or to ask for prayers for yourself or others.
Facilitated by Liadhaín Saoirse Reilly and Jim Strong
