Long Shot - MarZ: A Menstrual Musical

Long Shot - MarZ: A Menstrual Musical

Thursday, March, 26th 2026 | Doors: 7:00PM | Show: 7:30PM | PWYC Tickets (Sugg. Donation $10)

Long Shot is Vox Populi’s ongoing experimental comedy series spotlighting longer-form, in-progress performances that audiences don’t usually get to see. Each night features artists testing new ideas, structures, and characters in real time—messy, ambitious, and never-before-seen

ABOUT THE SHOW

A duet for one body, MarZ: A Menstrual Musical is part stand-up, part-experimental dance, and always a reckoning between AZ and the maps he has made to defend against the discomforts of dysphoria. The question is, can he read them? Join AZ as he tests out some new material before another bout of puberty renders it all prematurely outdated. This is a solo performance that is perennially helped by friends along the way, most especially imaginary ones. (*includes discussions of nudity, male menstruation, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, and time travel).

As always, Long Shot is pay-what-you-can, with 100% of ticket proceeds going directly to the performers. Come see work in progress, take part if you want, and leave saying, “I can’t believe I just saw that.”
