ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Exploring the inner workings of another institution—the art museum—Todd Baldwin draws upon his experience as an art preparator to fabricate museum-quality metal stands, or mounts, on which he hangs assemblages of gallery trash, handmade objects, and found items, in his show you took this out of context. His works contemplate value and juxtaposition, and the relationship between permanence and that which will change, fade, or disappear.
