ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Using a lush visual approach, two recent videos by Israeli artist Dana Levy, investigate memory, collecting and collections and the complexities of living with the past. The Museum, 2008, is a six minute, one shot pan through a composited museum space using image from different classical and natural history Italian museums. Silent Among Us, 2008, uses the backdrop from a natural history museum to contrast the ideas about the living and dead coexisting.
Dana Levy lives in Tel Aviv. She holds a BA in Graphic Design from Camberwell College of Art, London and an MA in Electronic Imaging from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Scotland.
