ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Andrew Suggs mounts a show featuring Matthew Savitsky and SB LA F (a moniker used by Strauss Borque-LaFrance to encompass works made by both him and his late mother). Boy Oh Boy conflates curation with desire and production as Suggs attempts to draw latent meaning from quiet works through an installation in which he acts as a curator, but also an artist creating an installation from ephemera, drawings, and completed works borrowed from Savitsky and Borque-LaFrance. The installation is an attempt to blur boundaries of individuality and to question the creation of meaning through reconfiguration and re-presentation.
