You Know What You Are: Film Screening
Thursday April 2, Doors at 7pm
From filmmaker Rose Trimboli comes a contemporary reimagined vampire tale, You Know What You Are. Set against the backdrop of a tranquil beach town during the early winter, young vampire Faith grapples with her insatiable thirst for blood and the relentless struggle to control her violent urges. Seeking solitude, she finds herself unexpectedly making personal relationships with a group of loners, challenging her sense of control, and forcing her to come to terms with who she really is.
Fresh off of its film festival run, producer Shayna Davis presents the film alongside the brand new teaser for Pineys, her upcoming project in collaboration with director Cody Sooy, and Detached, a short film by Elise Brady.
ARTIST BIOS
ROSE TRIMBOLI is an emerging filmmaker known for her work in genre films. Starting her career with short comedies, she has recently ventured into the realm of horror, crafting narratives that defy traditional genre boundaries. Her debut feature film, "You Know What You Are," was received positively at multiple film festivals across the country and earned Best Horror from Toronto International Women’s Film Festival. With a growing body of work that challenges expectations and explores themes of terror and everyday life, she continues to evolve as a storyteller, always trying to push the boundaries of storytelling.
CODY SOOY’s upbringing in the Pine Barrens provided the inspiration for Pineys, which in 2018 won the Krevoy Screenwriting Fund Prize at Northwestern University. As a student, two other screenplays were produced on-campus as feature films in 2017 and 2018. Sooy’s first short film, Chrysalis, screened at the LA Horror Film Festival in 2023; his directorial debut, His Kingdom Endures, screened at the Seattle Trans Underground Film Festival and was programmed by the queer cinema collective SEEN in 2025. He is based in Philadelphia, just across the river from his South Jersey hometown.
SHAYNA DAVIS is an independent filmmaker based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ELISE BRADY is a local multi-disciplinary artist, film-maker, and SFX/makeup artist. Their love of horror and film began as a young, angsty teenager and blossomed into a career when they joined forces with Ishiki Studios in Prague, Czechia, three years ago. Today, they find themselves as a resident artist with Philadelphia's Blood Sick Productions and as a freelance creator. They most recently debuted their first short film as a director and writer: "Detached", in February 2026. When not making gore and scary slime, they find themselves working their two non-profit jobs, hanging with their stinky cats, or drinking dirty martinis in South Philly.
