Second Energy Christmas: Valentines day Love feast and closing of the agony in the garden chapel

To honor all of the different intentions and expressions of love and transformation which have passed through the gates of the agony in the garden chapel we plan to decommission the space in an all out Valentines day Agape Love feast.  Performance artist, Andy Šlemenda will be traveling from Pittsburgh to reenact the mysterious woman, Mary of Bethany (John 12:3) or  "sinful woman" (Luke 7:36-50) who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, anointed them with expensive perfume, and wiped them with her hair.  Their practice has involved deep research into the Moravian and Mystical Anabaptist tradition and they will lead some prayerful time in the chapel and maybe even facilitate some aspect of an artist talk for the show.  The inimitable Breakfast in America will be providing an Edible Shrine! Frank Leasing will likely be doing a powerfully interruptive exploration of top 40 american songcraft, all of the agony in the garden facilitators will be invited back to retread new steps towards the threads which will lead to the future. I will be offering my services as a kissing and punching booth as well as responding to any requests for intercessory prayer and i will probably be crying a lot.  please bring your loved ones, your favorite prayers/poems/pets... if you would like to do something at this please contact Jim Strong—Temporarily, All is permitted.
