Long Shot - Trivia with Chelsea A. (Chelsea really enjoys trivia and hopes you do too) & Pitch Day with Charles Steele
Thursday, February 26th, 2026 | Doors: 7:00PM | Show: 7:30PM | PWYC Tickets (Sugg. Donation $10)
Long Shot is Vox Populi’s ongoing experimental comedy series spotlighting longer-form, in-progress performances that audiences don’t usually get to see. Each night features artists testing new ideas, structures, and characters in real time—messy, ambitious, and never-before-seen
ABOUT THE SHOW
This February, Long Shot presents two distinct works that play with participation, performance, and the rituals we take way too seriously:
Trivia with Chelsea A. by Chelsea A. Flowers is a participatory performance that blends stand-up comedy with the chaotic energy of trivia night. In a call-and-response format (not heckling—Chelsea is a little fragile right now), audience members are invited to answer a rotating mix of True or False, Fill in the Blank, identification questions, and occasional physical bonus challenges. Participants can even suggest new trivia questions or topics on the fly. The questions themselves veer wildly—from Beyoncé becoming a billionaire, to whether Hillary and Bill Clinton belong at the cookout, to whether August 5th deserves recognition as a new national holiday.
The night also features Pitch Day by Charles Steele, a part-play, part-PowerPoint performance in which Don Draper comes out of retirement to respond to an advertising emergency. What unfolds is a theatrical send-up of corporate crisis language, creative genius mythology, and the thin line between inspiration and complete nonsense.
As always, Long Shot is pay-what-you-can, with 100% of ticket proceeds going directly to the performers. Come see work in progress, take part if you want, and leave saying, “I can’t believe I just saw that.”
