Change is a Place
A screening of stop motion filmed outdoors curated by Lily Xie
November 21st, Doors at 2:30pm
Animations break out of clean studio walls and charge wildly into mud, river, dune, and rainforest in this unforgettable collection of short films that embrace the uncertainty of the natural world. Frame by frame, these stop motion films carefully examine how place becomes time: shadows turning, water churning, decay and growth, the lifecycles of stones.
This event features a special live stop motion performance by Sweet Onions. Following the performance and screening, there will be a short Q&A with the artists.
CONTENT WARNING: this screening contains nudity and sequences of flashing images. For audiences 18+
