Brandon Aquino Straus
Brandon Aquino Straus is an interdisciplinary artist working across multichannel video, 3D environments, and painting. Archival research anchors his experimental storytelling which examines cultural memory and ecology between the United States and the Philippines.
His work has been exhibited and screened at venues including Silent Green (Berlin), Vox Populi, Fjord, Woodmere Art Museum, and Fringe Festival. He is the recipient of the Illuminate the Arts Grant, a National Performance Network Project Grant, and a Temple University Presidential Fellowship. Aquino Straus holds a BFA from the University of New Mexico and an MFA in Sculpture at Tyler School of Art, Temple University. He works as a freelance videographer and editor for arts institutions and teaches film and digital media.
